around.the.town

Here's a couple of photos I took recently on a walk around my hometown of Bridgnorth. Small details you wouldn't usually take a second glance at.

Do you ever read the memorial plaque on the bench you're sitting on?

Or wonder why there's a 3 foot high gate in a wall, which is so small and unused you wonder it's existence?

Nor me, until now...

forgotten.negatives

Going back through my Uni sketchbook I found some negatives of a fashion shoot I did a few months back. Me and Paul Regan were in the studio reteaching ourselves the basics of studio lighting etc. And a Fashion student came up to us and asked if we'd help her out.

After waiting around for 45 minutes after she said she'd arrive, and another hour of make-up and stylist time we eventually started shooting. I only had a film camera with me that day, so Paul took the bulk of the shots. In amongst my negs though were these two...

whose.eyes?

Even though I only moved back home on Sunday for the Xmas break, I found myself visiting Birmingham today. Under the clause of "doing more xmas shopping," but I think I was really lying to myself. I know exactly why I went back.

It was only a short visit, but here's a couple of photos I took in the duration.

I thought instead of writing a "Hi, I'm Ad" blog I'd go all in head first and post a blog about the film I developed today.

This small selection of photos were taken in Thiers, France using Ilford SFX 200 film, and then scanned in.

A weird occurance at the time, but I was looking out of the window whilst aggitating my spiral tank, and over the course of the 30 or so minutes it took me to develop, wash, fix, wash, stop bath my film I watched a bird bath full of water freeze over. One of those things you never think of seeing, and I doubt I ever will again in my life.
